G.R.I.T. Calgary offers individualized programs for preschool children who are eligible for Program Unit Funding (PUF). The needs of the child and family help to determine the components of each child’s Individual Program Plan. G.R.I.T. is designed to offer an educational alternative to parents who wish to be actively involved in their child’s education. The home can be a highly effective educational setting for young children, especially for children who are immune-compromised or medically fragile.
In addition, the G.R.I.T. program is able to support children in their community preschool. Individual Program Plans are developed by the Certificated Teachers in collaboration with the parents and therapy team. This plan guides the work and interactions with your child across the team and family members.
With the support of the G.R.I.T. team, your child will be prepared for entering the school system!
